The Bruins paid a heavy price in their 3-2 win over the Penguins on Saturday night. They lost Loui Eriksson to a concussion and they'll likely be without Shawn Thornton for the near future after he jumped Penguins defenseman Brooks Orpik.

And on Sunday afternoon, they confirmed they'll be without Chris Kelly for some time.

Kelly suffered a fractured right fibula on Saturday night after getting slashed by Pens winger Pascal Dupuis. Here's a Vine video captured by NESN's Michael Cole of the play that likely caused Kelly's injury. The Bruins placed him on long-term injured reserve and anticipate he'll be out four to six weeks.

The Bruins also placed defenseman Adam McQuaid on injured reserve and announced that forwards Matt Fraser and Ryan Spooner have been recalled from the Providence Bruins (American Hockey League) on an emergency basis.
