BOSTON -- It looks like the Bruins will get their full nasty back with Shawn Thornton appearing to return to the Black and Gold lineup after a healthy scratch on Saturday against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Thornton was skating on the fourth line with Gregory Campbell and Jay Pandolfo, and Daniel Paille was once again skating left wing on the third line with Chris Kelly and Rich Peverley. That would leave Chris Bourque as the odd man out as he wasn't on the ice for pregame warm-ups and appears to be a healthy scratch after getting a season-low of ice time in Saturday's win over the Lightning.
As expected Tuukka Rask will be the starting goaltender for the Bruins while riding a personal five game winning streak and Peter Budaj will get the nod for the Habs with a 2-1-1 record, a 2.45 goals against average and a .905 save percentage.
Rask is 7-0-1 in his last eight games with a 1.36 goals against average since the blowout loss to the Buffalo Sabres back in January. Here are the line combinations and defensemen pairings for the Bruins with first place in the Northeast Division and Eastern Conference on the line against the Habs:
Lucic-Krejci-Horton
Marchand-Bergeron-Seguin
Paille-Kelly-Peverley
Pandolfo-Campbell-Thornton
Chara-Boychuk
Seidenberg-Hamilton
Ference-McQuaid
