Thomas gets start vs. Panthers

SUNRISE, FL - The Bruins had an optional skate this morning at the BankAtlantic Center in anticipation of tonight's game against the Florida Panthers. Claude Julien said Patrice Bergeron is a game time decision after a Johnny Boychuk rocket off the back of the left leg, but he's expected to play for the Black and Gold.

Tim Thomas will also get the starting nod against the Panthers in his 11th straight appearance including nine starts within that span. The 37-year-old Thomas has shown large signs of fatigue over the last month, and his performance has suffered as the team has committed some gnarly defensive breakdowns in front of him.

Adam McQuaid, Benoit Pouliot and Trent Whitfield all took part in the morning skate and appear to be part of the game time decision that Claude Julien has to make tonight in Florida.
