Torey Krug has splashed on the scene in the Eastern Conference semifinals, putting up a 2-1—3 line in the first two games of the series as the Bruins have taken a 2-0 lead on the New York Rangers.
The 5’9 blueliner has been one of the Bruins best players through the two games. He attributes his level of play to the confidence Bruins coach Claude Julien gave him prior to Game 1.
“The first thing [Julien] said to me was don’t be afraid to make mistakes,” said Krug. “For me, a weight was lifted off my shoulders and I could come in and play the hockey I’m used to playing and not be worried about anything.”
