Team Chara beats Team Alfredsson, 12-9

KANATA, Ont.Zdeno Chara was looking forward to trying his hand at team-building before NHL All-Star weekend began, and the Bruins captain built himself a winning hockey club. It might be time for Peter Chiarelli to start watching his back if Chara begins to start adding his two cents to the front office moves for the Bs moving forward after Team Chara took a 12-9 win over Team Alfredsson.

Marian Gaborik had a hat trick for Team Chara and Zdeno Chara notched the game-winning goal for his own team in a solid victory. It also included Tim Thomas closing things out in the third period for Charas club and securing his fourth straight All-Star game victory.

Tyler Seguin picked up an assist on a Joffrey Lupul insurance marker in the third period as well in a game featuring some excellent representation from the three Black and Gold members of the All-Star club. Daniel Alfredsson had a pair of goals for his eponymous hockey team in defeat.
