Soderberg replaces Daugavins on fourth line

CHICAGO – The Bruins made a change to their lineup for Game 5, with 27-year-old Swedish rookie Carl Soderberg taking over the left wing on the fourth line alongside Rich Peverley and Shawn Thornton.

During the pregame warmups Soderberg took all of the line rushes with the fourth line, as Kaspars Daugavins looked on without jumping in for any of them prior to the playoff game. The Bruins are opting for offense over defense, even though the 6-foot-3, 220-pound Swedish forward that didn’t look playoff-ready in any of his regular-season appearances for the Black and Gold.

Other than there were no changes to the Bruins lineup as they attempt to wrest control of the series at the United Center, where the Blackhawks have only lost two games during their entire playoff run. Here are the line combos and D-pairings for the Bruins based on the pregame skate:
