BOSTON – The Bruins got good news before the puck was even dropped Saturday night, as their top shutdown defense pairing was back for Game 5 against the New York Rangers.

After missing nearly two weeks of action and the first four games of the series, Dennis Seidenberg took the pregame warmup with the rest of his teammates at TD Garden and was back in the lineup. As expected, 19-year-old Dougie Hamilton will be coming out of the lineup while skating in the German defenseman’s spot. Seidenberg did take all of the pregame line rushes with Chara, and it appears that he’s poised to return to the lineup as long as he comes through the skating session without any tweaks.

Here are the anticipated line combos and D-pairings for the Bruins headed into a Game 5 matchup at home against the New York Rangers with a 3-1 lead in the series:

Lucic-Krejci-Horton

Marchand-Bergeron-Jagr

Peverley-Kelly-Seguin

Paille-Campbell-Thornton

Chara-Seidenberg

Bartkowski-Boychuk

Krug-McQuaid
