It should be an interesting night for the Bruins with Jordan Caron, Ryan Spooner and Nick Johnson all skating together on the same forward line, and potentially competing for a reserve forward spot with the Black and Gold. All three bring something different to the table, but people should keep an eye on Spooner after he’s been a dominant playmaking force through the first three preseason games that he’s played in.

Otherwise, Kevan Miller gets a look skating with Dennis Seidenberg against the Washington Capitals and could be a spare defenseman option if the Bruins opt to place Dougie Hamilton in Providence for the first half of this season.

Tuukka Rask will play the entire game against the Caps after playing in the first half of the game vs. Washington played at the Baltimore Arena last week. Braden Holtby will be getting the start for Washington, though Alex Ovechkin and Niklas Backstrom didn’t make the trip to Boston. Here are the line combos and D-pairings based on the pregame warm-up:

Lucic-Krejci-Iginla

Caron-Spooner-Johnson

Söderberg-Kelly-Smith

Paille-Lindblad-Thornton

Chara, Boychuk

Seidenberg, Miller

Bartkowski, McQuaid
