Rask looking to improve dominant stats vs. Florida

Boston -- Tuukka Rask was battling the flu on Tuesday, according to Claude Julien, but has made enough of a recovery that he’ll be back in the net against the Florida Panthers on Thursday night. Rask was the first goalie off the ice at TD Garden for morning skate, and should be well rested against a Florida team that he easily handled on the road while making 34 saves last month in a 4-1 win.

Over the course of his career Rask is 5-1 with a 0.98 goals against average and .969 save percentage along with two shutouts against Florida, so it was a no-brainer that he’d be between the pipes. Jay Pandolfo and Aaron Johnson will both be in the lineup for the Bruins as well as they prepare for a Florida that they should be able to beat even if injuries are beginning to catch up to them.
