BOSTON -- Tuukka Rask was the first goaltender off the ice for the Bruins during Tuesdays morning skate, and should be between the pipes for the Bs against the Carolina Hurricanes at TD Garden tonight. Rask is 0-1-0 this season after a hard luck 1-0 loss to the Colorado Avalanche, but has a .972 save percentage and 1.02 goals against average headed into his second start of the season.
The goaltending partnership between Rask and Tim Thomas has developed as expected thus far this season: the Bruins are third in the league thus far with a .942 save percentage and fourth in the NHL with a 1.80 goals against average.
Coach Claude Julien continued to maintain that its about the Bruins worrying about themselvesand finding their own gamerather than what the Hurricanes can bring to the table against them in their home-and-home rematch.
Right now the state of our team is about how were going to play, said Julien. Right now were not in a position to worry about the other team. Instead its exactly about what we have to do to go out there and be a better team. In Chicago we thought about the process we had to go through to have success, and it came around. We have to keep doing that until we find our game and feel confident about it.
