UNIONDALE, NY – The Bruins had a full cast of roster characters for Tuesday morning’s skate at the Nassau Coliseum and should feature the exact same lineup as they did against the Lightning and Panthers on the first two games of the road trip. That includes goaltender Tuukka Rask, who was the first goalie off the ice indicating he’s likely to get the start against an Isles team that’s started the year 2-7 on their home ice.
Rask is coming off a brilliant 34-save effort against the Panthers on Sunday afternoon so Claude Julien is going with the hot hand.
It was thought Anton Khudobin might get a look in the game against the Isles, but instead Julien might be looking at going with the backup goaltender in one of the two back-to-back home games this weekend against the Tampa Bay Lightning and Montreal Canadiens.
Evgeni Nabokov was the first goaltender off the ice for the Islanders on Tuesday morning, so it appears he’ll be getting the start for New York.
