BOSTON -- Jonathan Toews will play in Game 6.

The Blackhawks captain took part in Monday's morning skate, and said he is "absolutely, 100 percent" playing in what could be a Stanley Cup-clinching game for the Blackhawks.

"We've gotten to the point where I feel ready to go again, and I'll be ready to play tonight," Toews said after Monday's morning skate.

"The way I felt out there, I'd say it was the best morning skate I've had all series," added Toews. "I feel great. I'm excited. There's no question about where I am physically."

Toews said that Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville was being overly cautious by not playing his captain in the third period of Game 5. He also said that it wasn't just Johnny Boychuk's hit on him that caused the injury. Toews said he's taken a "couple of hits" in the series, and Boychuk's was just one of them.

But the Cup will be in the building on Monday night at the TD Garden, and Toews is available as the Hawks try to win it.

"He's 100 percent ready to go," Quenneville said.

"It's good to know that he was able to play and practice this morning, as well," added Quenneville. "He felt fine yesterday, as well, so we were very encouraged heading into today's day. It's good to know that he's ready to go."
