Paille out with ‘mild concussion'

Daniel Paille has suffered a mild concussion as a result of a collision with Florida Panthers forward Krys Barch in the first period of last nights 2-0 loss at TD Garden.

Claude Julien said that Paille was feeling better on Friday, but he wont be making the trip to Columbus for Saturday nights game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Paille went down immediately after appearing to absorb the helmet-on-helmet contact and had wobbly legs when he attempted to return toward the bench as his linemates chased after Barch.

He suffered a mild concussion. Hell be out for the time being. They said it was a mild concussion but you never know. Well take it day-by-day, said Julien.

Hes feeling a little better today which is always good to hear. Hes staying home and thats all I have about it.

Jordan Caron will be in the lineup skating with Gregory Campbell and Shawn Thornton, and should be rust-free after stepping in for Tyler Seguin against the Winnipeg Jets earlier this week.
