WILMINGTON, Mass.Nathan Horton is slowly making progress, but hes still not back on the ice.

Horton has missed two games since suffering a mild concussion against the Philadelphia Flyers on Jan. 22 when he was blindsided by a Tom Sestito head shot that went without a penalty call. Claude Julien said that Horton was still experiencing symptoms as of Tuesday morning, but also revealed after Wednesdays practice that he might have a better update before the game against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Hes continued to progress. Its not a negative thing, but right now hes still not capable of skating. Its still a one-day-at-a-time. I know our doctors are evaluating him and like the progress that hes making. But hes not ready yet.

Rich Peverley has taken Hortons spot on the right wing alongside David Krejci and Milan Lucic, and Brad Marchand has filled Hortons spot on the Bs power play unit and scored a pair of power play goals in the two games hes missed thus far.
