Could Seguin and Kessel be All-Star linemates?

OTTAWACould it be that Tyler Seguin and Phil Kessel will be linemates during the NHL All-Star game on Sunday?

That would go right in line with the playful sense of humor Bruins coach Claude Julien displays on a regular basis, and could be a fun way to turn all of the SeguinKessel comparisons on their ears. Seguin joked about it with Kessel after both were selected by Team Chara, and will suit up with the same blue All-Star sweaters on Sunday afternoon at Scotiabank Place.

'I said Kess, I think were linemates, Seguin said following the draft on Thursday night. Kessel said That be cool. I think the media would like it.

The duo are irrevocably intertwined in their hockey careers after the fairly contentious trade of Kessel from Boston to Toronto handed the Bruins the No. 2 overall pick that nabbed Seguin two years ago. Since then, the Bruins have captured a Stanley Cup, watched Seguin blossom into an All-Star forward and concocted the Thank You, Kessel chant at TD Garden as a way to mock the Leafs scorer that wanted out of Boston.

Meanwhile, Kessel has developed into one of the most dangerous goal-scorers in the NHL, and has Toronto in the playoff hunt for the first time since the NHL lockout. Hes actually topped 80 points in the 82 games since being handed the title of Mr. Irrelevant during last years All-Star Draft, and was selected in the eighth round this season.
