DETROIT – Both Chris Kelly and Daniel Paille once again were missing from the Tuesday morning skate at Joe Louis Arena, and will miss another playoff game in the first round series against the Red Wings. Kelly has been out since suffering a back injury in an April 8 loss to the Minnesota Wild, and Paille hasn’t yet been cleared for contact after getting smoked in front of the Sabres bench by Buffalo defenseman Jake McCabe in the final weekend of the regular season.

Paille has been skating over the last week, but that won’t happen until after he’s taken contact in a Bruins team practice. Matt Bartkowski, on the other hand, did participate in the Game 3 morning skate, and Claude Julien indicated the defenseman will take the pregame warm-up at the Joe.

The Bruins blueliner has been out of the lineup since contracting the same nasty gastrointestinal virus that’s knocked down a large group of Boston’s roster.

“Bartkowski will be in the warm-up, and we’ll make our decisions afterward,” said Claude Julien.

Here are the forward combos and D-pairings based on morning skate in Motown:
