* Jaromir Jagr does not like being separated from Travis Zajac, and he isn’t afraid to talk about it. When the Jagr speaks, everybody listens.
* Some surprising video from yesterday where Ryan White “accidentally” tripped Montreal head coach Michel Therrien on the ice at practice. That didn’t look like much of an accident to me. Hmmm . . . trouble brewing with Les Habitants?
* Mike Halford wishes a happy 80th birthday to dandy Don Cherry, who continues to be one of my favorites voices when it comes to the NHL and hockey.

* Ryan Callahan fights back against the trade rumors by scoring a couple of goals for the Rangers in a rout of Colorado.
* Ryan Miller is mum about his future as the trade winds start to blow, and there is expected to be a lot of interest in the Buffalo netminder.
* Andy Greene is getting a lot of love from the Devils, even if he wasn’t getting it from the US Olympic selection committee.

* David Krejci is one of the featured performers in the New York Times Olympic preview section.

* For something completely different: Why we’ll miss hating on Jay Leno when he’s gone from the talk show game.
