* FOH (Friend of Haggs) Tracey Myers asks if Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith is having the best season of his NHL career.

* Winnipeg Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff won’t be pressured into making changes to the Jets roster, even as it’s screaming to be blown up as an overmatched team in the Western Conference.

* It was a wild day in Boston for Lee Stempniak as he went from healthy scratch to playing because Mike Cammalleri couldn’t answer the bell vs. the Bruins due to illness.

* Sporting News scribe Sean Gentille says that Shawn Thornton’s appeal of a 15-game suspension doesn’t make him a hypocrite. It’s true. Only somebody that doesn’t believe in the due process of the law could say otherwise.

* PHT writer James O’Brien chronicles the meteoric start to Los Angeles Kings goaltender Martin Jones’ NHL career, as he still remains undefeated. What a great story.

* Elliotte Friedman wonders in his 30 thoughts if Anton Khudobin will be put on the trade block by the Carolina Hurricanes. He could be an interesting for a team starved for veteran goaltending.

* For something completely different: An excellent column from Boston Globe legend Dan Shaughnessy about how he approaches his job. It’s amazing that some people think we really care whether a team wins or loses. Sure it makes our jobs easier covering a winning team, but we get paid either way. We’re there to cover the story and because we love the sport, and not because we love a certain set of laundry. Hope that sinks in down in Pittsburgh.
