* Jeff Marek joins Jay and Dan on FS1 for a segment on Fox Sports Live, and it’s just as wonderfully Canadian as you might have expected it would be.

* Picking Brian Burke’s brain means a revelation that he thinks Cam Ward should be the starting goaltender for Team Canada. That is now what I would have expected him to say.

* Bruce Garrioch breaks down what’s wrong with the Ottawa Senators as they languish in the middle of the pack in the Atlantic Division.

* Interesting look at whether Rogers Sportsnet can raise their game after wrestling the NHL rights away from the CBC and TSN. So what does that mean for Don Cherry? Hopefully that he’s not going anywhere.

* Steve Stamkos is up and walking just two weeks after breaking his right leg in Boston, and that’s good news for everybody.

* Ken Campbell from the Hockey News hopes that the Stanley Cup Final is a Bruins/Blues matchup, and that would be perfectly okay with me.

* For something completely different: Wesley Morris asks if the Hunger Games sequel is the best of its kind since Empire Strikes Back. That is a bold, bold statement, sir.
