*Was Patrick Kane in a slump? It sure doesn’t like that’s the case now after dropping a hat trick on the Los Angeles Kings to end their season, and set up a Stanley Cup Finals match with the Bruins.

*The Toronto Maple Leafs media are kicking themselves, and kicking themselves hard over trading Tuukka Rask rather than Justin Pogge when they made the Andrew Raycroft deal with Boston.

*The Blues have four high profile free agents headed into this offseason, including defenseman Alex Pietrangelo.

*The Los Angeles Kings might have lost, but they went down swinging, which is a lot more than the Pittsburgh Penguins can say. The champs did themselves proud in losing to an excellent Blackhawks club.

*Plenty of decisions ahead for Pittsburgh GM Ray Shero after watching the Penguins utterly dismantled against the Bruins.

*An appreciation for the Los Angeles Kings tweet commiserating with the Penguins after they were eliminated from the playoffs.

*A pretty great collection of Bruins sound and Dave Goucher calls as the Bruins ready for their second Stanley Cup title in the last three years.

*CSN Washington scribe Chuck Gormley breaks down the season of Braden Holtby in an ongoing series he’ll undertake for the entire Washington Capitals roster.

*For something completely different: Red Sox reliever Craig Breslow is hosting a wine event for charity called “Sip Happens.” Got to respect that.
