*Check out the Fox local broadcast of the Florida Panthers/Boston Bruins from Sunday afternoon when Mike Weaver hit Milan Lucic from behind. Wow, that’s some impressive interpretation of a play right in front of them.

*Daniel Briere is not interested in a change of address at this point, but the Flyers forward is still hearing his name bandied about in trade rumors. Sometimes those stubborn refusals to lift a “no trade” have a way of changing amid the season.

*Michael Ryder gets back his No. 73 with the Montreal Canadiens after some bartering with rookie Brendan Gallagher.

*The Winnipeg Jets like the look of the new NHL alignment and the reasonable travel arrangements that it will bring for the Canadian hockey club.

*Milan Michalek returns to Senators practice and he’ll be with the team when they travel to Boston for Thursday night’s game against the Bruins.

*The NHL alignment plan takes shape and should bring some interesting wrinkles for the league.

*Good job by DJ Bean getting to the bottom of Dougie Hamilton having no idea who Beaker or the Muppets are after last night’s twitter hi-jinks.

*For something completely different: interesting piece on the famous Honus Wagner baseball card.
