McQuaid again missing from Bruins practice

WILMINGTON – The Bruins got in another 45 minutes of work on Friday morning at Ristuccia Arena before heading to Philadelphia for a Saturday afternoon matinee against the Flyers at the Wells Fargo Center.

Both Dougie Hamilton and Chris Kelly once again skated with the rest of the team without incident, and Adam McQuaid was once again missing with a leg injury suffered last weekend against the Chicago Blackhawks. Claude Julien said on Thursday that the Bruins are having a difficult time gauging a timetable for McQuaid’s return because his injury is a “hard one to assess” for the medical staff. He remains day-to-day, but it’s pretty clear he’s out for Saturday’s game vs. Philly.

That leaves Zach Trotman filling in for McQuaid, and making the trip to the City of Brotherly Love along with the rest of the Bruins.
