Brad Marchand has been named the NHL's first star for the week ending December 25.

In the two games the Bruins played that week, Marchand scored four goals and made two assists. He scored the game-winner in the Bruins' 32 victory over the Montreal Canadiens and made his first career hat trick in an 80 routing of the Florida Panthers.

Marchand has 15 goals and 14 assists this season with a 25 rating that is second in the NHL only to teammate Tyler Seguin.
