TAMPA -- The Bruins hit the practice ice on Friday afternoon at the Tampa Times Forum, and were missing one member of their Black and Gold clan while getting put through their paces. Jordan Caron was missing from the contingent on the ice going through drills, and B's coach Claude Julien indicated that it was a "maintenance day" for the 22-year-old forward. Caron had a quiet night on Thursday against the Florida Panthers along with the other members of the third line.
Carl Soderberg skated in Caron's place along the wing with Chris Kelly and Brad Marchand, and Julien indicated Saturday vs. the Lightning might be a good time to get the Big Swede into the lineup.
He's been cleared by the Bruins medical staff after missing the first six games of the season.
