The changes begin for the Black and Gold as Jay Pandolfo gets his chance skating with the Bruins third line after the B’s front office waived Chris Bourque on Thursday morning. Anton Khudobin will get the start for the Bruins, his fourth outing of the season, and Ben Scrivens gets his 14th start of the season for Toronto while looking to push his won-loss record over the .500 mark for the season.

While the 38-year-old Pandolfo might not be the permanent solution for the Bruins on the left wing riding the third line, there’s a chance for some defensive stability that just wasn’t happening with Bourque. Pandolfo is scoreless with two penalty minutes in three games for Boston thus far this season.

It will also be interesting to see what Claude Julien does with the defensive pairings as he tries to work with some combinations that are experiencing a hard time right now. Here are the line combos and defensive pairings based on pregame warm-up:

Lucic-Krejci-Horton
Marchand-Bergeron-Seguin
Pandolfo-Kelly-Peverley
Paille-Campbell-Thornton

Chara-Boychuk
Seidenberg-Hamilton
Ference-McQuaid
