The Bruins look to continue splitting their goaltending duties in back-to-back games as backup netminder Anton Khudobin will be getting the start for the Black and Gold in Saturday afternoon’s matinee against the Washington Capitals. That should leave Tuukka Rask for the Sunday afternoon St. Patrick’s Day showdown against the Pittsburgh Penguins at the scene of the CONSOL Energy crime from earlier this week.
Khudobin is 4-2 with a 2.52 goals against average and a .910 save percentage on the season.
Adam McQuaid was also taking all line rushes with defensive partner Andrew Ference, and it appeared the rugged stay-at-home defenseman will be back in the lineup after missing Thursday night’s win over Florida with an upper body injury. Other than those two situations, the Bruins lineup should be exactly the same as its been over the last few weeks.
