BOSTON – The Bruins liked what they saw out of the third line combination of Daniel Paille, Carl Soderberg and Loui Eriksson over the last couple of games, and have decided to stick with it despite the return of Chris Kelly to the B’s lineup. Kelly was riding on the left wing with Gregory Campbell and Shawn Thornton on the B’s fourth line, and Soderberg and Eriksson stay with Paille after both Swedish forwards potted goals Monday night against the Islanders. Otherwise it will be largely the same lineup with Tuukka Rask returning between the pipes to take on Tim Thomas in his first return to TD Garden in a game he’ll actually take part in.

Thomas is 14-14-3 with a 2.65 goals against average and .915 save percentage while learning just how difficult life can be when you’ve Erik Gudbranson and Aleksander Barkov playing in front of you instead of Zdeno Chara and Patrice Bergeron.
