WILMINGTON, MA The Bruins are officially in playoff mode.

That was made obvious by the blanket injuries statement Bruins coach Claude Julien made at the beginning of Tuesdays media session after practice.

Before we get going, guy, heres an injury update, said Claude Julien. Its the same as yesterday. Nothing has changed and thats where we are.

So that means Johnny Boychuk (left knee) remains on track to play in Game 1 Thursday night and took his customary spot with Andrew Ference on the second defensemen pairing. Tuukka Rask (groinabdomen strain) practiced again with his teammates after being the first one on the ice at Ristuccia Arena, and appears to be making progress toward being ready at some point in the first round if hes needed.

Adam McQuaid was the only Bs player aside from Nathan Horton that was missing from Tuesdays practice, and its looking more and more like the rugged, towering blueliner may miss the start of the playoff series. Julien said that McQuaids status was up in the air at the conclusion of Mondays practice.

The Bs coach would only said that McQuaid was suffering from an upper-body injury and its presumed to stem from the Jason Chimera charging hit that he took at the end of March.

Other than that no injuries or updates were given to the few injured players that the Bruins have heading into their first round matchup with the Capitals, and it appears that might be the status quo during the postseason.
