*FOH (Friend of Haggs) Chris Johnston has his weekly hockey notes including that Russian NHL players don’t like the North American-style rules.

*Mike Halford of PHT chronicles New Jersey Devils coach Pete DeBoer’s opinion that the Devils are being forced to over-play Jaromir Jagr.

*Tracey Myers from CSN Chicago says the lack of practice time has not been hurting the Chicago Blackhawks during a lull in the schedule.

*Justin Bourne puts together some links and action from last night’s hockey action in “On the Regroup.”

*Kevin Paul Dupont tweeted that this should be the “final word” in fighting in the NHL. I say ESPN should never get the final word on anything concerning the NHL, but maybe that’s just me.

*Buffalo Sabres coach Ted Nolan tells the Buffalo News that he wants to build his team around goaltender Ryan Miller. I imagine Miller might have an opinion or two about this approaching unrestricted free agency.

*Florida Panthers GM Dale Tallon says the Panthers won’t be loaning the awesomely named Alexander Barkov to Team Finald for World Juniors, or the Olympics for that matter.

*That noted NHL tough guy George Parros has raised the most charitable money for the month of Movember. Congrats to the man with the famous mustache.

*For something completely different: getting my morning shot of Toucher and Rich while I’m in Montreal, and missing it. Adolfo Gonzalez doing improv is pretty awesome.
