*The TSN insider traders discuss plenty of trade rumors out there, and the comeback of Steve Stamkos for Team Canada in the Winter Olympics.

*An idiotic piece spawned in the Deadspin-style that goes after the wife of Ben Scrivens, and got lambasted by the new Edmonton Oilers goaltender last night via twitter.

*Bruins draft pick and Boston University defenseman Matt Grzelcyk is lost for the season with a shoulder injury. It’s a tough break for a good, young player with a bright future in Boston.

*Ryan Lambert writes a lot of words about Matt Hendricks, Devan Dubnyk and advanced statistics. At the end of the day it proves very little statistically about what kind of impact Hendricks will have as an energy player, and any crowing about a $1.85 million cap hit for a bottom six forward is ridiculous given the way the salary cap is shooting up year after year.

*The Leaf Report podcast with Jonah Siegel and James Mirtle pores over the Nazem Kadri rumors and other points of interest with the Maple Leafs.

*PHT’s Mike Halford has P.K. Subban calling Carey Price “the best goaltender in the world right now” after standing on his head against the Ottawa Senators.

*For something completely different: A Denver columnist tells the “chowderheads” to go home rather than try to gain admittance to the Patriots/Broncos AFC Championship game this weekend.
