Not too many Bruins fans will forget the day that Jarome Iginla was traded to Boston, and then wasn't.
The former Calgary Flames star used his no trade clause to block an initial deal to the B's in order to get himself shipped off to Pittsburgh to team up with the likes of Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, and leave the Bruins empty-handed.
But in the end, it was Boston that got the last laugh. The B's swept Iginla's Penguins in the Eastern Conference Finals and advanced to their second Stanley Cup Final in the last three years with a 1-0 win at TD Garden Friday night.
Any regrets, Iginla? Michael Felger sure thinks so, and he spoke about it with Tony Amonte on Postgame Live.
"I think he would've fit perfectly with this team," Felger said. "He just blew it. He had the chance to come here, and what happens? Mario Lemieux and Sidney Crosby get in his ear, do their weasel act right there, it makes me made just thinking about it, and what does he do? He gets sucked in by Mario and Sidney. Nice call, Jarome. Excellent work by you."
