There will be no Milan Lucic in the Bruins lineup on Saturday afternoon against the Penguins as the Boston power forward has been scratched from the lineup after appearing it was going to go that way in B’s practice last week.

The slumping power forward has only four goals in his last 34 games for Boston, and just six goals in a season that’s been progressively trending downward since a good start over the first few weeks of the season. Lucic wasn’t even on the ice for pregame warm-ups as the Boston coaching staff had clearly decided it was time for the 24-year-old to watch a game from upstairs in the press box.

Tuukka Rask was the first goalie onto the ice indicating he’ll be getting the start against the Pittsburgh Penguins, and it appears that Carl Soderberg will also be making his Bruins debut with Chris Kelly and Jaromir Jagr. The Big Swede has only practiced a couple of times with the Bruins, but the coaching needs to get a look at what the 27-year-old can do with no prior NHL experience.

B's players wore State Police, City of Boston Police, and Watertown Police hate prior to the game.

Here are the line combos and defense pairings based on pregame warm-up:

Paille-Krejci-Horton,
Marchand-Bergeron-Seguin,
Soderberg-Kelly-Jagr,
Campbell-Peverley-Thornton

Chara-Seidenberg
Ference-Boychuk
Bartkowski-McQuaid

Rask
