MONTREALThe Bruins looked like they were once again riding their win onelose one carousel with a thumping, nasty effort against the rival Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre.

But the desperate Habs were scrapping for their very playoff lives and throwing everything in their might at the Bs, and that was ultimately good enough to push things to a 4-3 shootout win for the Black and Gold.

Tyler Seguin once again won it with a stick-side wrister that completely froze Carey Price in his tracks.

It ultimately gave the Bruins their needed win to keep the .500 alternating decisions going for 15 straight games, and it kept a glimmer of hope alive for the Habs.

The Bs never trailed in the game after Andrew Ference slammed home a point blast through traffic with less than three minutes to go in a competitive first period.

The physical checking and wild haymakers thrown by Adam McQuaid and Ryan White followed as did an answering score from Mathieu Darche during a Bs defensive breakdown opening the second period.

The Bruins picked themselves up despite playing a second physically exhausting contest in as many days, and back-to-back goals from Benoit Pouliot and Patrice Bergeron handed them a two-goal lead headed into the final period. The Habs reclaimed control of the game with two goals of their own in the final 20 minutesincluding the game-tying score from Erik Cole on an unforgivable Zdeno Chara turnover in his own endand ultimately pushed it to the extra session.
