WILMINGTON -- The Bruins are readying for one of their favorite afternoons of the season just prior to the playoffs.

The B’s will be getting their heads shaved for charity in their Seventh annual Cuts for a Cause event run by Shawn Thornton and 98.5 the Sports Hub’s Toucher and Rich on Wednesday afternoon at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel.

The event will run from 2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m., and will include Thornton and teammates Matt Bartkowski, Patrice Bergeron, Johnny Boychuk, Gregory Campbell, Jordan Caron, Zdeno Chara, Dougie Hamilton, Jarome Iginla, Chad Johnson, Chris Kelly, Torey Krug, Milan Lucic, Andrej Meszaros, Kevan Miller, Adam McQuaid, Daniel Paille, Corey Potter, Dennis Seidenberg, Reilly Smith, and Carl Soderberg all having their heads shaved by auction winners to show their support and raise money for the Shawn Thornton Foundation, Boston Bruins Foundation and Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center.

Bergeron and Lucic were the big auction winners this season as those two both topped $3,000 for fan bids to shave their heads. Bergeron didn’t take part last year, but did donate his own money to the event, because he was getting married following the season, and was under strict orders not to mess with his hair.

Fans can purchase tickets to the event right here. VIP tickets are $150 and General Admission tickets are $30. Ticket prices do not include processing fees.

Depending on availability, $35 tickets will be available at the door on the day of the event. Door tickets must be paid in cash.
