WILMINGTON – With a road tilt in Buffalo on tap for Wednesday night, the Bruins went through a brisk practice at Ristuccia Arena before hopping on a plane headed for the home of the Sabres. It should be a tad different stepping off that B’s charter than it was last week with stops in Ft. Lauderdale and Tampa on the docket, but Boston will be looking for the same result against a downtrodden Sabres club.

The Bruins had the exact same lines and defensemen pairings as they did in their two-game win streak in Florida, and there’s little reason to think there will be change before the goaltender between the pipes. Claude Julien said he was strongly considering using backup Chad Johnson for his first action of the season in Buffalo on the first night of back-to-back games, and leave the high-powered San Jose Sharks for Tuukka Rask on Thursday night at TD Garden.

One interesting twist: Reilly Smith was practicing on the second power play unit at a point position after appearing there at points during the game against the Tampa Bay Lightning last weekend.

Here are the line combinations and D-pairings based on the Tuesday morning skate:

Lucic-Krejci-Iginla

Smith-Bergeron-Eriksson

Caron/Soderberg-Kelly-Marchand

Paille-Campbell-Thornton

Chara-Boychuk

Seidenberg-Hamilton

Krug-McQuaid

Bartkowski

Rask

Johnson
