BOSTON -- The Bruins didn’t hit the ice on Wednesday, instead doing fitness testing with shuttle runs and on exercise bikes. They did, however, officially announce their rosters for training camp.
As with recent practice, Bruins management divided the B’s training camp roster into two groups that will practice separately.
Furthermore, the Bruins didn’t bring in any veteran NHL players on PTOs (professional try out) as they announced the group of 51 players that will get on the ice at TD Garden on Thursday morning. Both the Saturday and Sunday practice sessions will be open to the public for those that want to get their first look at Loui Eriksson and Jarome Iginla in a Bruins sweater.
Interestingly, the Bruins have divided Eriksson, Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand into Group A as they expect those three to form a tight, offensive/defensive shutdown line, and placed expected linemates Iginla with David Krejci and Milan Lucic in Group B.
