Johnny Boychuk was out on the ice for the first time since taking a Tyler Seguin hot shot off the side of the right foot, and looked okay as he skated around with his teammates at morning skate prior to Wednesday night’s game against the Montreal Canadiens for first place in the division.

Claude Julien said following the skate that it’s “uncertain” if Boychuk will play against the Habs after missing both halves of the home-and-home against the Toronto Maple Leafs. He hasn’t been cleared to play but that could happen between this afternoon and tonight’s puck drop against Montreal. Otherwise, Tuukka Rask was the first goalie off the ice and is expected to get the start against the Montreal Canadiens.

The forward lines appear to still be a little altered as well as the forwards went through line rushes in advance of tonight’s battle for first place in the Northeast Division. Marchand has one goal in his last 11 games and is riding with the third line while Paille continues to skate with Patrice Bergeron and Tyler Seguin after firing off a team-high five shots on net Monday night against the Leafs.

Here are the line combos and ‘D’ pairings:

Lucic-Krejci-Horton

Paille-Bergeron-Seguin

Marchand-Peverley-Caron

Pandolfo-Campbell-Thornton

Chara-Hamilton

Seidenberg-Bartkowski

Ference-Johnson
