BOSTON -- As expected, Patrice Bergeron wasn't on the TD Garden for Monday's morning skate prior to Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Blackhawks.
Bergeron had to come out of the second period of Game 5 against the Blackhawks with what coach Claude Julien called a "body injury" that forced him to be transported to a Chicago hospital during his team's 3-1 loss at the United Center.
Bergeron was termed "day-to-day" by the Bruins on Sunday, and a source close to Bergeron told CSNNE.com that the injury "is not a ruptured spleen."
With Bergeron out of the lineup, Swedish rookie Carl Soderberg was skating in his place at center between Brad Marchand and Jaromir Jagr.
It also appears that either Jordan Caron or Jay Pandolfo may be entering the lineup if Bergeron can't answer the bell.
