BOSTON -- It appears the Bruins might be getting a jolt in the arm soon – and perhaps as soon as Monday night against the Ottawa Senators -- in the form of Patrice Bergeron returning to the lineup.

Bergeron suffered the fourth concussion of his career on April 2 and has missed six games with the Black and Gold going 3-3 during his absence while recovering from a “moderate concussion.” But the two-way center said that he’s felt fine ever since the hit, which ironically enough happened against Ottawa courtesy of an inadvertent elbow from Colin Greening, and just awaiting final word from doctors before jumping back into the lineup.

He skated between Milan Lucic and Tyler Seguin during line rushes at TD Garden on Monday morning, and that’s a line good enough to get Bruins fans salivating at the possibilities.

“I want to get back out there,” said Bergeron. “I feel good, feel confident…we're taking our time and there's a reason for that. So I'm not hesitant and feel good"

So there will be one final meeting between the player, the team doctors and the specialists on Monday, and the results of that final sit-down could have him back in the lineup Monday night against the Senators.

“We’re just all getting on the same page. He’s been feeling a lot better the last few days and he’s obviously been doing extremely well. But when you’ve been through what Patrice has been through you’re obviously going to be extra safe with him. Even if it takes a little extra time then we’ll do that."

“I’m going to wait and make sure everybody is good. I know [Bergeron] is feeling good. Medically, I always give those guys the last say. You don’t argue with those guys…you work with him. That’s what we’re going to do.”

The lines should be interesting if Bergeron is cleared to play based on Monday morning skate, and here are the line combos and D-pairings based on the skates:
