FOXBORO -- They say a team takes on its coach's personality.
Bill Belichick would agree with that notion, when describing what type of football team the San Francisco 49ers are, as they prepare for a Sunday night matchup at Gillette Stadium.
And Jim Harbaugh, as Belichick described him, was a tough guy. Which is exactly what he sees in San Francisco, toughness.
"He's a tough, competitive guy," said Belichick on Friday. "He would definitely stand in there. He had a lot of toughness. He had a good career.
"They play very competitively. They play physical, with an edge. Yeah, I'd say he was a tough guy for a quarterback, definitely. His team reflects that, yeah. He has a good personality, a strong personality. They play that way, they play aggressively."
