Wilcox will return to Celtics

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Celtics reunion tour continues with another blast from the not-so-distant past back on board.

Chris Wilcox, whose season was cut short because of heart surgery, tells CSNNE.com he will re-sign with the Celtics.

His return bolsters a Boston front line that's filling up on talent, but seemed in need of some veteran leadership off the bench.

In addition to Wilcox, Boston's frontcourt depth includes rookies Jared Sullinger and Fab Melo. In addition, either Jeff Green or Brandon Bass will also come off the bench.

But in Wilcox, who turns 30 Sept. 3, Boston adds a player who has made no secret about wanting to return to Boston.

"I definitely feel I have some unfinished business," Wilcox told CSNNE.com shortly before agreeing to re-join the Celtics.

In a phone interview with CSNNE.com, Wilcox said he was, "excited to be back."
