Tour de Darko makes way to Boston

The latest stop on the Tour de Darko has landed in Boston. CSNNE.com reports the big man will sign a one-year deal for the veterans minimum with the Celtics.

Milic, 27, has been traveling through the NBA since he was selected by the Detroit Pistons with the second overall pick in the 2003 Draft. See where he has been leading up to Beantown:

2003: Drafted by the Pistons on June 26 with the second pick following LeBron James

2006: Traded by the Pistons (with former Celtic Carlos Arroyo) to the Orlando Magic in exchange for Kelvin Cato and a 2007 first round pick on February 15

2007: Signed with the Memphis Grizzlies as a free agent on July 16

2009: Traded by the Grizzlies to the New York Knicks on June 25 in exchange for Quentin Richardson and cash

2010: Traded by the Knicks (with cash) to the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for Brian Cardinal on February 17

2012: Waived by the Timberwolves on July 12. He will sign with the Celtics in September.

Milicic has a career average of 6.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in 18.5 minutes over 467 games. He has worn number 31 on every team throughout his career. The Celtics retired that number in 2003 for Cedric Maxwell.
