Tanguay: 3-point shooting sinks Celtics

Share

The Celtics dropped their fourth straight road contest on Saturday night against the Spurs, and there's one stat that really stands out - 3-point field goals.

The Spurs made 12 3-point field goals, the most the Celtics have allowed in a game this season. San Antonio shot 48 from beyond the arc. To put that in perspective, that's a better percentage than the Celtics shot from the floor the entire night.

Tommy Heinsohn says the Celtics just can't keep pace in games like this because they lack a consistent third scorer.

The Spurs improved to 71-12 at home since the start of 2010-11 season.
