A year ago Greg Stiemsma was still chasing a dream to play in the NBA.

One year later, he is receiving interest on the first day of free agency following a breakout rookie season with the Boston Celtics at the age of 26.

The restricted free agent center was scheduled to meet with the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday, according to his agent.

The Timberwolves have a history with Stiemsma. He signed a contract with Minnesota toward the end of the 2010 season.

Stiemsma averaged 2.9 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks in his rookie season with the Celtics. He finished the year as the team's back up center to Kevin Garnett.
