Less than a week after being traded from the Celtics to the Rockets in the Courtney Lee deal, ETwaun Moore was waived by his new team according to Rockets.com.

Moore was one of the standouts on the Celtics' Orlando and Las Vegas Summer League teams prior to being moved last Thursday. He averaged 12.0 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in five games in Orlando and 17.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in two games in Las Vegas. With Avery Bradley sidelined by shoulder surgery, the 6-foot-4 guard was a candidate for an increased role on the Celtics prior to the trade.

Moore, 23, averaged 2.9 points in 38 games with the Celtics last season as a rookie. The 55th overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, he had a breakout game against the Orlando Magic on January 26. He scored 16 points (5-for-6 FG, 4-for-4 3PG) in 18 minutes and helped the Celtics win without a then-injured Rajon Rondo.

According to multiple reports, the Chicago Bulls are rumored to be interested in Moore.
