Even though the Celtics have reached an agreement with Brandon Bass on a three-year contract worth around 20 million, they still have some work to do with Jeff Green. The unrestricted free agent forward is likely to re-sign with the Celtics, according to a report from Sports Illustrated's Sam Amick.
From SI:
A source with knowledge of the talks said Green's deal may be "in the neighborhood" of four years for 40 million, though the two sides are continuing talks. Green became an unrestricted free agent last December when Boston withdrew its 9 million qualifying offer because of his heart condition.
Green played the second half of the 2010-2011 season in Boston after being traded from Oklahoma City, but he missed the entire 2011-2012 campaign because of a heart condition. According to his agent there has been a lot of interest from other teams, but they are confident with Boston.
