Larry Bird is stepping down as president of the Indiana Pacers but will remain as a consultant, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo’s The Vertical reported.

Kevin Pritchard will take over basketball operations, Wojnarowski reported.

Bird, 60, the Celtics legend and Hall of Famer, returned as Pacers president of basketball operations in 2012 after a year away. He had held the position since 2003. He was head coach of the Pacers from 1997-2000. He’s the only person in NBA history to be named MVP, Coach of the Year and Executive of the Year.
