Cedric Maxwell may be happy Rondo's assist streak is over, but that doesn't mean he's also throwing him under the bus for last night's ejection.
"What he did was he came to the defense of his teammate. ... What he did was he lost his head, and as the quarterback of the team you have to keep your mind. But again, this is what NBA basketball is. It's an emotional game. Everybody says,"Well you just gotta be a robot. Everybody see Rondo, 'You gotta be a robot.' Well, you're not a robot. He's going to get out, he's going to play."
Maxwell has been in his fair share of heated moments, and doesn't exactly see this as a major one.
