Lee: ‘It felt great playing in this atmosphere'

It wasn't technically their first home game, but it was the Celtics' first trip back to their home arena, the TD Garden.

Courtney Lee has played multiple games in Boston, but always as a member of the visiting team. Now, he gets a chance to hear cheers -- not boos -- when he hits a shot.

"It felt good to be out here and to play in front of this atmosphere," he said to CSNNE's Kyle Draper after the game. "The crowd, they were cheering the whole time and I remember there was one time I think we were on defense, and I think it was the loudest arena I've been in and it's only preseason."

The Celtics didn't get the win (the end-of-the-bench players blew the lead), but they put in a much better showing than last night's blowout loss in Philadelphia.

"Yeah, we're using these games to get better," Lee said. "Rondo, he got us in every set. We had KG back there anchoring the defense and we were making shots today. So it was a better vibe today and that's only going to help us."
