Talk about having faith in your own team, eh?
Atlanta Hawks guard and NBA veteran, Jerry Stackhouse, has his own website and blog. He seems like a smart guy and everything, but Stack did a very dumb thing.
Picking against your own team to win the NBA Finals? In Stackhouse's recent blog, he decided to predict the postseason winner. That's fine, as long as your team isn't in the playoffs, or you pick them to go all the way.
Stackhouse kinda, sorta, tried to pick the Hawks to win the NBA Finals, but not even he could seriously do it.
Do you think anybody on the Celtics would be caught dead picking another team to win the NBA Finals? Not in a million years.
But nonetheless, here's Stackhouse's quote at the bottom of his blog:
"I am clearly planning for Atlanta to be in the Finalsif I put on my analyst hat, however, if we are looking at the personnel and everything thats going on during these playoffs, I have to take Miami to win it all.Miami is the favorite to come out of the East, and Im not counting out the Lakers in the West the way Ramon Sessions and Kobe Bryant are playing."
